Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff - Transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and memos - Conduct legal research using Westlaw or other legal databases - Assist with interviewing clients and witnesses - Prepare and file legal documents, such as pleadings and motions - Organize and maintain case files and documents - Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings - Assist with trial preparation and coordination - Perform data entry and document management tasks using iManage or similar software
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role preferred - Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation - Familiarity with various areas of law, including litigation - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Proficient in transcription and data entry - Ability to conduct legal research using online databases - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
