We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Retail Associate at Millie Bo Peep Children's Boutique.
As a Retail Associate, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the retail space and contribute to our small business' success.
Ideal candidates must have previous retail experience, cashier/register experience, and customer service experience.
This is a temporary, hourly paid part-time position from May through the end of August.
Must be willing to work two Saturdays a month.
This position will be for 8-12 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for handling transactions, ringing up customers as well has handling returns and exchanges.
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Research and learn about the brands and products that we carry so that you can better provide better customer service.
- General cleaning duties:
sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, breaking down boxes, trash out, etc.
- Must attend all staff meetings - Perform administrative tasks - Accept and unpackage new shipments, label, and display items - Responsible for uploading new products into Shopify - Responsible for merchandising
Experience:
- Previous cashier experience and/or experience handling money - Knowledge or familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) - Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Previous event planning desired -Previous experience or knowledge with Shopify desired Requirements:
- At least 1 year of previous retail experience - Experience working directly with customers and providing excellent customer service - GED or HSD required.
- Required to work two Saturdays a month
